Compact Dry YMR plates give QC teams a faster read on fungal contamination—delivering results in just 72 h instead of the conventional 5-7 days. Each pre-sterilized dish contains a high-nutrient, fungus-selective dry medium that re-hydrates on contact with 1 mL of sample or rinse water. Yeasts appear as smooth blue to cream colonies and molds form filamentous colonies with species-specific colors and textures. A pale background keeps counts clear.

Incubation parameters

pH tip: Adjust the product (or a 1 : 10 dilution) to pH 6 – 7 with 0.1 – 1 N NaOH (acidic) or HCl (alkaline) for optimal colony development.
