Compact Dry EC | E. Coli and Coliform

Compact Dry EC plates let you confirm Escherichia coli and total coliform levels in one step, across foods, water, cosmetics, and raw-material matrices. Each plate is pre-sterilized and infused with two chromogenic substrates plus selective agents. Coliforms form red/pink colonies, and E. coli form blue or blue-purple colonies. 

Safeguard product quality by verifying that E. coli and total coliform loads remain below regulatory limits—without the time and labour of traditional agar methods.

Incubation parameters

Tip – pH check: For acidic/alkaline products, adjust a 1:10 dilution to pH 6–7 (with 0.1–1 N NaOH or HCl) to ensure optimal enzyme expression and colony color development.
